about Bonvin
Bonvin began not with a business plan, but with a moment of fascination. I have always been intrigued by the way certain objects carry stories, how they age with dignity throughout multiple decades, and how they outlive trends. That fascination became very real in 2023, when I found myself holding a Louis Vuitton Keepall from the 1980s. As someone born in 2002, I was struck by the thought that this bag was not only older than me, but nearly twice my age.
The date code revealed its exact year of origin, yet the supple leather, perfectly intact structure and gleaming brass hardware made me feel as if this bag had been crafted only a few years ago. Only its honey-toned patina gave the trained eye a glimpse of its true age. Ever since, I have realised buying a designer item isn’t about the logo; it is about the craftsmanship and heritage behind the logo, tracing back to the 19th century. That realisation marked the beginning of my passion for luxury vintage.
Since that moment in 2023, Bonvin has been dedicated to sourcing these vintage and pre-loved designer pieces with a strong focus on iconic designs. From Hermès to Cartier, every item is carefully authenticated and selected for its timeless character and condition, ensuring it becomes a lasting part of your collection. With fast and discreet worldwide shipping, multilingual support, and a 14-day return window, we combine the assurance of a trusted boutique with the convenience of online shopping – a service already experienced by over 500 clients in more than 30 countries.
I look forward to helping you discover your next piece, and please know you can always reach out to us with any question, request, or thought.

Jur Geraats – Founder Bonvin

A sustainable solution
As a society, we have a growing responsibility to shop in a more sustainable way and recognise that our planet’s resources are not infinite. Bonvin’s mission is to promote a circular economy by keeping luxury that is made to last, last.
Buying vintage and pre-loved items directly supports the principles of the R-ladder: we Refuse unnecessary new production, Reduce waste, Reuse what already exists, and, when needed, Repair or Refurbish timeless pieces so they can be cherished throughout the next decades.
Best of all, you enjoy the pleasure of wearing something truly unique — a piece that is increasingly rare, rich in character, and often priced lower than buying new, making it not only a sustainable choice but also a smart one. Invest into a beautiful extension of yourself that can be passed down to the next generation, not the junk yard.
Why are we called Bonvin?
- Pronounced: “bon vin”
- Bon vin translates from french to ‘good wine’, connecting with the saying ‘Aged like fine wine’.
- Just as a fine wine begins with the careful selection of the best grapes, undergoes patient fermentation, and matures in the cellar until it reaches perfection, the pieces collected in our collection follow a similar journey. Crafted from the finest materials, shaped by the hands of skilled artisans, and enriched by the passage of time, they evolve into treasures with depth, rarity, and character. With every year, they grow more refined and unique, just like a bon vin.
